Included in every package

  • Loads in under two seconds
  • Secure HTTPS certificate

  • Page titles and descriptions written for Google
  • Your business set up properly on Google Maps
  • Built so a screen reader can use it

What I don’t do

Because it’s better you know now than three weeks in.

  • Large online shops with hundreds of products
  • Custom web applications and customer portals
  • Ongoing social media or content marketing
  • Paid advertising management
  • Logo and full brand identity design

If you need one of those, say so and I’ll point you at someone who does it properly. I’d rather do that than take the job and do it badly.

Afterwards

Care plans, so you never have to log in

Your first year of hosting is included either way, so a care plan isn’t about keeping the lights on — it’s for when you want something changed. You text me, I do it. No lock-in, cancel any time with 30 days’ notice.

Essential

£35/month

Hosting, security certificate, weekly backups, software updates, uptime monitoring, email support.

Care

£65/month

Everything in Essential, plus 30 minutes of changes a month, a monthly report on how the site is doing, and priority support.

Care+

£120/month

Everything in Care, plus two hours of changes a month, a quarterly search review, a new page each quarter, and phone support.

No surprises

What it costs after the first year.

Most web designers won’t tell you this until the invoice arrives, so here it is on the price list. Hosting is included free for the first 12 months with every website — care plan or not. After that you choose:

Hosting only

£120/year

Your site stays online exactly as it is — security certificate, weekly backups, uptime monitoring, and one written health check a year. Changes charged at £75/hour.

A care plan

from £35/month

Hosting included, plus someone looking after it and making your changes for you. Most clients end up here, but only once they’ve seen they need it.

Take it elsewhere

Free

It’s your website. I’ll hand over everything and help your new provider for five working days, at no charge. Your domain is in your name the whole time.

Questions about money

How does payment work?

Half to start, half before the site goes live. Bank transfer, 14 days to pay. No work starts until the deposit clears and nothing goes live until the balance does — that’s fair on both of us.

If paying in two halves is difficult, it can be spread further — see below.

What if I want more pages partway through?

£120 a page. I’ll tell you the cost before I do it, in writing, and you say yes or no. You will never get a surprise invoice from me.

Are there ongoing costs?

Hosting is included free for your first 12 months, so for the first year the price you see is genuinely everything you pay. After that it’s £120 a year for hosting on its own, or a care plan from £35 a month with hosting included — or you take the site elsewhere at no charge. You’ll know which you want by then.

Your domain is registered in your name, not mine, so you are never stuck with me.

Is there really no VAT?

Correct — I’m under the VAT registration threshold, so the price you see is the price you pay.

Can I leave a care plan?

Yes, 30 days’ notice, and I’ll help you move the site somewhere else at no charge. A care plan is a service, not a trap.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. A deposit to start, then the balance across up to six monthly payments by Direct Debit. No interest, no fees, and the total is exactly the same as paying in one go — it is not finance, it is just the invoice split up.

It exists because a good website is worth most to the businesses that can least afford one in a single lump. If that is you, say so when you get in touch and I will set it out in the quote.
